Country Music Legend Lynn Anderson Arrested and Charged with DUI
Legendary country music vocalist Lynn Anderson, 66, was arrested and charged with DUI after being involved in a crash on West End Avenue.
According to her arrest warrant, she had showed “signs of impairment,” as well as admitted to drinking alcohol and taking prescription medicine.
While nobody was injured in the accident, Anderson was released from jail on a $5,000 bond, and is scheduled to appear in court later in November.
Anderson’s fame stems from winning a Grammy award for her song “Rose Garden,” as well as being named female vocalist of the year by the Country Music Association in 1971.
The DUI isn’t Anderson’s first. She has previously been charged with a DUI in 2004 in Texas after police found her passed out in her car along the side of the road.
