Ex-Football Player Joseph Randle Faces 6th Arrest in 17 Months
Getting a Handle on Randle
Joseph Randle has not played a National Football League game since Week 7 of last season, and it does not look like he will be playing in another one anytime soon. The former Dallas Cowboys running back was arrested Sunday morning for the sixth time in the past 17 months dating all the way back to October of 2014. Randle was taken into custody in his hometown of Wichita, Kansas for failing to appear in court over a previous matter. On Feb. 21, he was jailed for aggravated battery, possession of drugs and criminal damage to property. The 24-year-old has only been in the NFL for three seasons and has been booked for stealing underwear and cologne, speeding and possession of drugs. Not a good record to say the least.
Contempt of Court in Tennessee
In Tennessee, when a court date is set, it is your duty to appear. Otherwise, it can lead to more criminal charges. Court dates are not like doctors appointments where you can miss them and no harm will be done. A judge can add additional criminal charges to your record, and it can lead to hefty fines or even a jail sentence.
