Flavor Flav Arrested in Las Vegas for DUI
Flavor Flav, whose legal name is William Jonathan Drayton, Jr., was recently arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada, for allegations of driving under the influence, speeding, possession of marijuana, & for having an open container of alcohol.
He was arrested just after midnight for driving 73 mph in a 45 mph zone. In addition to the DUI allegations, he was also driving on a suspended license and registration.
The suspension came from an earlier arrest in New York when, in January 2014, he was caught speeding to his mother’s funeral. He had pleaded not guilty to the speeding charge earlier this year, in addition to other misdemeanors. If convicted, he could face up to four years in prison.
Flavor Flav has pleaded guilty to misdemeanor charges before when, in March 2014, he was in court for a domestic violence case after threatening his son and longtime girlfriend with a kitchen knife. The charges were reduced to misdemeanors, and he agreed to probation and counseling. The case was soon closed only a few months later.
