Slash Files for Divorce Just Before the New Year

Slash backgroundBeating his wife to the punch on an ultimatum she had laid out, Slash filed for divorce merely days before the new year, bringing an end to a rather rocky 13-year marriage.

Citing irreconcilable differences, Slash filed for divorce from his wife, Perla, in Los Angelas two days before the calendar flipped to 2015. The filing came a couple days after Perla took their two boys, London, age 12, and Cash, age 10, on an unexpected trip to Hawaii and issued Slash an ultimatum: that they work out their issues before New Year’s Day or else they were through.

Skipping the ultimatum, Slash filed for divorce, claiming that they had been separated since June 15.  He is proposing to share joint legal and physical custody of their two boys.

The two had been married since October 2001, but had an incident in 2010 where Slash had filed for divorce, but ultimately withdrew the petition two months later after the couple had worked things out.

It remains to be seen if this is, in fact, the end of their relationship, or just another bump in their rocky relationship.

If you are considering getting a divorce, you should also start planning on who you’re going to hire as your divorce attorney.  While it’s not legally required to have an attorney to get a divorce, it is, without a doubt, the best decision.

An uncontested divorce is always the simplest route to take, but when there’s a disagreement between the spouses, things can turn ugly pretty quick.  It’s much better to be prepared for the worst than to try and pick up the pieces after being decimated by a legal opponent.

Don’t go into the courtroom alone.  Call us today and see how we can represent you with unmatched legal expertise.
