“Feminist” Porn Star Exposed: He’s Actually A Greasy Rapist

feminist-porn-star-is-a-rapist“Feminist” Porn Star Exposed For Multiple Rape Crimes On Set

The acclaimed “feminist” porn star James Deen is looking at some serious accusations from women who claim that he raped them. So far, 5 victims have come forward with accusations of sexual assault at the hands of Deen, and it’s possible that the list is still growing.

If a “porn star rapist” already seems like a weird legal gray area to you, get ready for the real kicker: pretty much all of the allegations refer to rape crimes that happened on set. Like, in front of cameras and stuff. Yeah.

Who IS James Deen?

First of all, his name isn’t really James Deen. That’s his porn star name. When he has to file taxes and stuff, he calls himself Brian Sevilla. But since most people probably know him by the title he uses in his… films… we’ll refer to him as Deen from here on out.

If you’re not familiar with Deen’s work, that’s probably not something to be too terribly ashamed of. I didn’t know who the hell he was until this rape headline showed up in the news. One thing that’s interesting about this guy is that he’s celebrated for being the “feminist” porn star — and the seemingly contradictory nature of that claim to fame, combined with his apparent history of sexual crimes, might make one wonder why people have been calling this guy a feminist.

“Deenagers” And The Feminist Appeal

The James Deen sensation began in 2004 when the porn star was a fresh-faced youth of 18. His Wikipedia page attributes his initial popularity to the seemingly “everyman” qualities he demonstrates, in addition to his having a slimmer build than most guys in the porn industry. You know, the beefcakes.

But what really made Deen an anomaly was the fact that his fans are and have been predominantly women. The younger ones call themselves “Deenagers.” And whether or not he expected this response, he really took advantage of it, using social media and online communication with fans as a means of promoting his humble, good guy image. For example, last year he responded to thousands of fans’ questions on Reddit in just one hour, touching on a broad range of subjects from his personal life to his thoughts on condom legislation.

And golly gosh, to top it all off, the boy’s a philanthropist! Deen’s worked hard to secure his reputation as an advocate for aids awareness and sexual consent, among other things. Last October he declared that a whopping half of his porn earnings would be donated to various Breast Cancer nonprofits. What a feminist. What a guy.

Rape Accusations Don’t Look Good On Feminists

Flash forward to today: James Deen has gone from being the feminist-endorsed adult film icon to the greasy asshole who used his position in the porn industry to commit disgusting rape crimes. Allegedly.

It’s hard to dismiss these accusations for a few reasons: for one thing, multiple women have come forward with rape charges. So the odds aren’t in his favor there, to say the least. Apparently, Deen also has a reputation for making jokes about rape, and that’s nothing if not suspicious.

Here’s what his victims are saying:

  1. The first woman to come forward was his ex-girlfriend, who claimed that he “held [her] down and fucked [her] while [she] said no, stop, used [her] safe word.”
  2. Another accusation dates back to 2006, when a porn actress working with Deen allegedly called him a “son of a bitch” during filming, evidently pissing him off big-time. She says he reacted by sodomizing her to the point that “there was so much blood [she] couldn’t finish the scene.” She had to get stitches.
  3. Sodomy accusations surface once more from a different victim. She was also working with Deen on set and had made it clear to everyone involved that she wouldn’t consent to anal sex. But when the shooting began, Deen reportedly “choked [her] then he slammed [her] face into the couch and forced himself in.” To make this claim worse, the victim says that the filming crew congratulated Deen for the assault, which they called an “anal scene for the price of a boy/girl scene.”
  4. Yet another porn actress came forward with claims that Deen assaulted her after getting angry that she wouldn’t sniff his balls in a shoot. According to her account, she was showering after filming was complete when an enraged Deen took her by the throat and struck her.
  5. Finally, allegation the fifth: this claim comes from an anonymous reporter for the porn industry. She says that Deen forced her to perform oral on him in front of a crowd of people at the 2009 AVN Awards afterparty in Las Vegas.

Sexual Assault: Deen’s Looking At Consequences

There’s no state in the nation that doesn’t take sexual assault seriously in this day and age. The only reason for pause in Deen’s case is the fact that the accusations against him are just days old — there hasn’t been time to confirm them. But we can get an idea of how Deen will be punished by looking at Tennessee’s penalties for sex crimes.

First of all, if proven true, these allegations against Deen will certainly qualify as rape. Tennessee state law defines rape as a sexual assault involving unlawful penetration — which can include vaginal sex, anal sex, and a bunch of other stuff that you can figure out with your imagination. Furthermore, some of the crimes Deen has been accused of, like the sodomy situation that caused a girl to need stitches, also qualify as aggravated rape because the victim sustained injuries as a result of the attack.

Between the aggravated rape and non-aggravated rape crimes Deen potentially committed, he’ll be looking at both Class A and Class B felony charges. This means anywhere from 8 to 60 years in prison and maximum fines ranging from $25,000 to $50,000. And let’s not forget what’s probably the worst punishment of all: the utter destruction of his reputation. He can say goodbye to that “feminist porn star” label he’s been rocking so luxuriously.
